Project Update - Contract 1
Contract 1 of the System Improvement Plan is almost complete. In the past week a large portion of the new water main was placed into active service and customers on the Highway 964 well were switched to the Gurley Road system. EFRW has received some reports of cloudy water. Bac-T samples were pulled prior to placing the water main in service and all samples were approved by LDH. Water is considered safe for consumption. The cloudy water is air trapped in the line. As the water circulates thru the distribution system it will dissipate. EFRW will continue to monitor these reports.

The Boil Advisory issued on October 20th for customers has been lifted. DHH has approved the samples and the water is considered safe for consumption.

Customers South and West of the Hwy 964 & Hwy 68 intersection are part of a known outage. The outage occurred at approximately 12:53 p.m. when an isolation valve blew out while contractors were installing a PRV. EFRW crews are working to repair the isolation valve and restore services as soon as possible. When services are restored consumers are asked to boil water prior to consumption until further notice. EFRW will notify customers once health samples are approved by LDH.
