7 p.m. Update
EFRW crews have completed inspection of the distribution system on the west side of Highway 19. The distribution system in this area has passed inspection with no water main leaks detected. Customers from Highway 963 to Highway 412 and south on Plank Road should have water services restored. Services in the southern portion of this system may continue to see lower than normal pressure. The Gurley tower is at 80% and the wells are pumping at 850 gallons per minute.
Crews continue to work and inspections are underway on the east side of Highway 19 extending east to Highway 37, and south of Clinton toward the parish line. Slowly service is being restored to customers in this area as inspections to the distribution system are completed. The Battle Road tower is at 50% and the well is pumping at 450 gallons per minute.
Thus far, the biggest impact on these systems have been dripping faucets and water leaks on the service side of the meter. The systems will continue to be susceptible to low pressure and outages until freezing temperatures are no longer an issue and customers return to normal use.
Customers are reminded to boil their water prior to use until further notice . Health samples will be submitted to LDH once the system has stabilized.
